Sneak Peek: Mr. Reid

When my daughter, Emmalee, was 6 weeks old, I began taking her to a Mommy & Me class. This is where I met my friend Anne and her son Ryan. I was in desperate need of a mommy-friend and did I ever find one! I love Anne, and I miss Ryan (only a few months older than Emmalee). And I adore Reid. He was 2 weeks old at the time of this session, and I was in baby heaven getting to hold him and soothe him.
With all of the equipment (and chaos) I bring into these families' homes, I must say... I truly appreciate the chance these parents give me to destroy their homes and piss off their babies. Thank you.

Sneak Peek: The TLC Twins

These are the 'TLC Twins'. I call them that because both of their initials are TLC! They were 2 weeks old at the time of the session. I can't explain how ecstatic I was to find out that I was going to have my first newborn session opportunity - and with twins! It was certainly more difficult than I imagined, these boys knew something was up and they were not going to sleep through it! :-) But what troopers! When they were awake, they appeared happy, content and comfortable. A big thanks to their blessed & tired parents for the opportunity!

Sneak Peek: Little Miss 'M'

I had the pleasure of working with 'Miss M' and her delightful (and helpful!) parents just before Miss M's first birthday. Isn't she a cutie? I think I smiled the entire time I edited these.

a few more from Easter

I never would have thought that I could photograph a 15-month-old MUCH BETTER than a 4-year-old, but here it is. If you ask any photographer, they will tell you that they HATE shooting their own children (with a camera, that is). Hate hate hate it, and they hate it too! Oh well... If you ever see a photo of Emmalee that I took, you can assure yourself there was sugar involved somehow, in some way. She is definitely coming up with some strange, but interesting angled poses.. She is always trying to touch her chin to her shoulder..

Shape Collage

I wanted to share with you a cool website i've recently discovered and have fun with. ShapeCollage.com is a website where you can download a free automatic collage maker, in any shape possible! Any letter, any shape, you can even design your own shape and it's pretty customizable.

Sophie's Bath Photos:

More of Soph:
Shape Collage creates a collage by taking a bunch of photos and moving them around on a page so that they form a shape. When arranging the photos, they should be spread apart as far as possible so that you can see each one. The photos should cover the entire shape.

This sounds easy, but it's actually a lot harder than it sounds. Figuring out how to perfectly place the photos is an "NP-complete" problem, which is Computer Science lingo for "really, really hard".
